Help NEELY make music - become our Record Label

Many of you know the Kickstarter Project we had running failed. Yet it wasn't a complete failure because we learned some cool stuff along the way. For instance:

1. Many did not pledge because they felt their contribution would not make a dent in our large goal.
2. Several would rather work directly with us, taking the middle man (Kickstarter) out of the picture, so we would get all the money and not have to pay Kickstarter any fees.

It would be foolish to learn a valuable lesson and not put it to work! We are going to do our own "Kickstarter'ish" Project to Crowdsource our music. Here's what we are going to do:

1. An attainable goal. This time we are shooting for $10,000. The funds will be designated as such:
1. Merchandise design & manufacturing for "Kiss My Grits" brand.
2. Publicist\Marketing Campaign for "Kiss My Grits"
3. Video Promoter for "Kiss My Grits"music video
4. Radio Promoter for "Kiss My Grits"single
2. Working directly with each individual for pledge payment. Payment types include:
1. PayPal (email us for details at: neelymusic@neelymusic.com)
2. Check\Money Order via USPS (email us for details at: neelymusic@neelymusic.com)
3. Pledge via our website (directions listed below)
3. Still delivering cool "Pledge Packages" to help get this new Merchandise in your hands.

What if you go over the $10,000 goal?

Simple. We will put those funds to use to make more music. That's what this drive is all about for us. Making new music and marketing it so we reach new listeners.

How long is this Project running?

We are going to run this project until Monday December 2nd (just after Thanksgiving). This will give everyone the opportunity to "pre order" Kiss My Grits as Christmas gifts. ***note*** we can either ship the "Pledge Packages" to you directly OR you can tell us where to ship them if they are a gift ***end note***

How can we know the progress of the project?

We will be adding everyone who pledges to a special email list and we will send out email updates from time to time. Also we will post updates in these places:

1. Our personal Facebook Profiles (not friends of Jeremy or Kaci Neely? Look them up!)
2. Posts via the Facebook Event Page we've created.
3. We will email those who have pledged with updates
4. We will post updates on this Blog (http://neelymusic.blogspot.com)

What is different about doing this your self versus using Kickstarter?

A couple of the main differences are:

1. We will not have to pay the 10-15% fee to Kickstarter. Worst case scenario is the 2% PayPal fee.
2. No waiting 30 days to see if the project is funded or fails.
3. No "all or nothing" mentality. With Kickstarter the Project had to meet it's funding goal. With what we are doing if we don't hit the goal of $10,000 we still have the money from those who pledged and we will draw up a plan to utilize that money in the most effective manner.
4. You can pledge several times over the course of the Project. With Kickstarter you were locked into one Pledge Package. By doing this ourselves you can get as many Pledge Packages as you want. Shoot you can even have them sent to friends and family (you just need to let us know where to send them to).

How do we pledge via neelymusic.com?

1. Pick your "Pledge Package" from below
2. Go to neelymusic.com and click on "store" or simply click here 
3. Click on either the $1, $5, and\or $10 "Pledge - Because you love us!" items and add them to your cart
4. Update the quantity of the $1, $5, and\or $10 "Pledge - Because you love us!" items to equal the total amount of the desire "Pledge Package".
5. We will contact you directly about details pertaining your "Pledge Package" (for example - shirt sizes).

$750 - {Personal Acoustic Concert} want to hear “Kiss My Grits” and other NEELY songs in your living room? Maybe a backyard BBQ with friends? Even at your Church or Youth Group or Civic Event? We will bring our acoustic troupe to your home\venue and give you a “Storyteller Acoustic Show” that you'll love! Travel & Lodging are not included in the price of this reward. It may take 12 – 18 months for us to get into your region. All in all before you purchase this prize you should email us.

$1,000 - {ROADIE FOR A WEEKEND} find out what life on the road is really like for the working musician. Travel and any lodging needed before & after the tour is your responsibility. You simply need to get in the truck on time but once you are on board you are crew...we will work you like a dog from there. Then we will send you home with some cool NEELY stuff! Of course we will also send you the Digital Downloads, CD, and T-Shirt!

$1,250 - {A DAY IN THE STUDIO} ever wonder what the process of recording is like? Here is your chance! You will need to be able to be flexible with our recording schedule. Travel, food, and lodging is your responsibility. NOTE - "Kiss My Grits" is already recorded! This is for future songs. We will also send you the Digital Downloads, CD, and T-Shirt!

$2,500 - {THE FULL NEELY EXPERIENCE} have Jeremy, Kaci, and the full band come out and rock a private show for you, your family, your neighbors, your Church, your Fair, your Festival...you get the idea! Travel, Lodging, and production (sound, lighting, etc) cost are not included in the price of this reward. It may take 12 – 18 months for us to get into your region. All in all before you purchase this prize you should email us. It's expensive to do this and we all want to do it right.
